Foodie Friday! I made a very refreshing Honeysuckle Spritz cocktail today from our cookbook, “Southern Cocktails” (available at Cook on Bay).
Recipe:
4 (1/4-inch thick) cucumber slices plus more for garnish
1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) elderflower liqueur (such as St-Germain)
1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons) honeysuckle-flavored vodka (such as Cathead Honeysuckle)
Club Soda
Muddle 4 cucumber slices, lemon juice, elderflower liqueur, and vodka in a cocktail shaker to release the flavors. Fill the shaker with ice cubes. Cover with the lid, and shake vigorously until chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass. Top with club soda, and garnish as desired.
